DC Soccer is always ready to invest its resources to promote positive changes in our soccer neighborhood. Whether you are a marketing director for a for-profit company or a program implementer for a local non-profit organization, DC Soccer is ready to lend a hand to promote efforts that produce positive impact through soccer. Our team brings a unique set of experiences and perspectives in development of the game and its positive affect on communities here and around the world. We are ready to work with you to maximize your goals.

Over the past two years DC Soccer had worked with Verizon Wireless to offer free soccer clinics for youth soccer players led by Carlos ‘El Pibe’ Valderrama. As we look ahead to 2011’s clinic and discuss the opportunity to bring the adult amateur tryouts, Copa Alianza, back to Washington, have a look back at the two last El Pibe clinics!

In June 2009 we hosted the event in collaboration with Real Maryland FC at their home field in Rockville. This May the event was hosted at Cardozo Senior High School. This annual family event draws young players of all ages and levels from all over the DC region. DC Soccer hosts this event each year as part of its community outreach efforts through soccer.

Verizon Wireless, through DC Soccer, sponsored the DC Scores city-wide middle school soccer championship, the Capital Cup. On November 23rd, 2010 the top middle school boys and girls teams faced off in an exciting finish to a long season of soccer and literacy run by DC Scores.

Verizon Wireless provided the individual, team, and MVP awards as well as the full kits worn by the boys sides in their final.

DC Soccer & MD Int’l Soccer League (MISL) joined forces on Saturday, March 15th, 2008 to host a pre-season Hispanic community outreach event. Coaches, players, and families from the league were invited to lend a hand to field preparations at High Point High School in Beltsville, MD. As a reward for their hard work each participant received a new pair of Nike soccer shoes that were donated to DC Soccer from Nike.

DC Soccer received over 1,000 pair of new youth-sized soccer cleats and indoor shoes. See photos of the event.

The Alliance Francaise de Washington and DC Soccer teamed up to provide an exciting soccer skills and cultural immersion program to students participating in the Anne Bujon Educational Initiative (ABEI). ABEI was implemented in six elementary schools in Washington, DC and provided language and cultural immersion through interactive learning modules.

On May 17, 2007 DC Soccer provided two francophone soccer coaches to the Randle Highlands Elementary School to run one-hour soccer and language sessions for each of three participating classes.
