Goals for Girls

Goals for Girls is an international program for young girls that blends cultural exchange and education through the medium of soccer.

Disadvantaged girls are achieving their full potential through life skills, health, and education programs delivered through the game of soccer. Soccer creates fun and engaging environments where girls gain confidence and vital life skills that help them face life’s challenges. Goals for Girls connects girls and their teams from the United States with their peers from around the world while providing an opportunity to create change.


Goal for Girls 2009

Uganda 2009

In 2009, Goals for Girls focused on promoting health, education, and goal-setting for girls from Provo, Utah and Uganda.

With the support of Goals for Girls and a good number of other committed organizations a group of 15 students that play soccer for Timpview High School in Provo, Utah were transformed into ambassadors of their school, state, and country to do something positive for the world. With the help of our Ugandan program partner, The Kids League, they conducted a soccer clinic for about 100 young teenage girls in Gulu, held a motivational goal setting training at Laroo Primary School for formerly abducted children, and visited various orphan homes and schools. |Read More|

South Africa 2007

In 2007, Goals for Girls focused on HIV prevention and life skills for girls from Washington, DC and South Africa.

In June/July 2007, a Washington, DC-based U-16 girls soccer team, the DC Blast, led by Olympic Gold Medalist Tiffany Roberts made history when they traveled to South Africa to work with their peers from across the globe on HIV prevention and participate in cultural exchange activities. |Read More|
